Dear friends, St. Thomas is a church and school which serves approximately 2,500 people through a variety of ministries which we encourage you to discover and learn more about on this site. The parish of St. Thomas is committed to excellence in worship and education for all ages. And we believe that through the creative and enthusiastic use of the gifts God has given to us, we will be able to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, not only to our neighborhood of Coral Gables, but throughout the world as well. This web site is simply one of the exciting tools we hope will help us accomplish this goal.

It is a great pleasure to announce that Mr. Simon Jacobs has been appointed Parish Organist for St. Thomas. Simon came to us as an interim organist as we conducted our search for a permanent organist. We received applications not only from the United States but as far a field as the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. During this process, I came to the conclusion that we had the perfectly qualified and experienced organist already playing for us. To my delight, Simon accepted the offer to become the new Parish Organist.
As published when Simon arrived in November, he is a graduate of Cambridge University, England, and also holds the Associate Diploma from the Royal College of Organists. Previous to coming to St. Thomas, Simon held positions as Organ Scholar of both Salisbury Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.
Simon has already become a valued member of the St. Thomas music department, and I am pleased he will be a colleague on a permanent basis.
